Missouri fiddle master John White is back with a well-rounded batch of tunes new and old. This collection features hoedowns, hornpipes, waltzes, polkas, two-steps, and even a schottische—everything needed to play one of John’s local dances. His years in central Missouri may have changed his repertoire, but have not changed John’s strongly rhythmic northern Missouri fiddle style. From his mother’s kitchen, to “wild and wooly” square dances at a one-room schoolhouse, to last month’s dance in Hallsville, John’s fiddling has been keeping toes tapping in Missouri for over 70 years!
